My popup is slow to appear
The most common cause of delay before popups appear is the trigger setting. By default, most templates have a 10-second delay set to help reduce popup-induced bounce.

If the popup is set to 'Show immediately' then the most likely cause of slowness is the site itself.
Promolayer is designed to increase conversion rates. For this reason, we use 'async' and 'defer' tags in our script to cause it to load after the rest of your site has finished loading. This way Promolayer will never cause your site to slow down and lower your base conversion rate. The trade-off is if your site is slow to load Promolayer may appear slow as well.
